BCH Auxiliary Recognized
The BCH Volunteer Auxiliary was recently recognized by the Blood Center of Central Iowa with an award in recognition of the outstanding service to the volunteer blood program. The Auxiliary assists with the blood drives that are held in Boone each month. For more information, click here.
Level Two Healing Touch Offered
On August 21 and 22, Boone County Hospital will offer a Level 2 Healing Touch Certificate Program for healthcare professionals and others committed to healing. The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Boone County Hospital. For more information, click here.
BCH is Reducing, Preventing, Eliminating Infections
Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) are preventable infections that occur when patients seek medical care for a health condition. They affect five to ten percent of hospitalized patients, causing nearly two million infections, 90,000 deaths, and cost $4.5 to $5.7 billion each year nationally. For more information, click here.

Assistant Administrator Retires
 A retirement party in honor of Sandy Puntenney, Assistant Administrator of Nursing, was held on June 30th in the BCH Atrium. Over the past 18 years, Sandy has played a significant role as Assistant Administrator, Nursing at Boone County Hospital. |
