Specialty Clinics


Boone County Hospital's outstanding relationship with active and consulting medical staff provides our community with quality, specialty care without traveling outside Boone County.

Our Specialty Clinic is a convenient place for patients to receive special services that may not otherwise be offered locally. In cooperation with other area medical centers and physicians, Boone County Hospital offers regularly-scheduled outpatient clinics for a variety of specialty services and with specialty physicians, all of whom travel to Boone to see patients.

Advanced intravenous therapy is available through the Specialty Clinic. Heather Addy, BSN, RN, BCH Specialty Clinic Director, is a Certified Registered Nurse Infusionist (CRNI) and has the expertise and knowledge needed to provide this therapy. There are currently 3,265 CRNIs in the United States; two of them are now at BCH; the other is Sandy Linn, MSN, RN, Emergency Services Director. Heather gives a variety of infusions ranging from vitamin B12 injections, IV fluids for dehydration, nausea and vomiting, to very complex infusions like chemotherapy.
