BCH Auxiliary Volunteers Recognized
Boone County Hospital (BCH) Volunteer Auxiliary members were recognized at their Annual Fall Meeting/Supper in the BCH Atrium in October. Over the past year, the Auxiliary has given 11,986 hours of their time to the hospital. Not only do they provide assistance in various departments, but they help to raise money for the hospital through various events they hold throughout the year. Since June of 2008 when they began their computerized record keeping, they have donated $128,000 to the betterment of the hospital.

Ruth Bryant (pictured) was one of 45 Iowa Auxilian’s/Volunteers recognized as a “Shining Star” by the Iowa Hospital Association at their Annual Meeting in October. Each hospital had the opportunity to designate one outstanding, extra special volunteer from their hospital to be honored as a “Shining Star.”
