Ruth Anderson, RN, CWS, and Cathy Wetzeler, RN, CWOCN, BCH Wound Clinic, attended the Clinical Symposium on Advances in Wound and Skin Care in Orlando, Florida, in late September/early October.
Abstracts of case studies were submitted related to impressive wound healing involving the use of a glycerine hydrogel sheet, Elastogel and the skin substitute, Dermagraft. Ruth and Cathy were selected to participate in presenting poster abstracts for two companies—Southwest Technologies and Dermagraft.
The posters reflecting their work were displayed at the national conference. Ruth and Cathy presented the information explaining the healing process related to the products that were used. Four thousand participants attended the conference and were able to network with Ruth and Cathy about solutions for healing complex wounds. |
