 Ruth Anderson, RN,CWS, and Cathy Wetzeler, RN, BSN, CWOCN, (pictured) recently attended a national conference called “Clinical Symposium on Skin and Wound Care” in Washington, DC. They had poster abstracts accepted from Southwest Technologies and were a part of the conference as poster presenters. The topic presented was “Demonstrating Impressive Healing of a Complicated Pressure Ulcer Post, Cancerous Lesions, Chronic Venous Stasis Ulcer and a Post Surgical Wound Using a Collagen Glycerin Sheet and Hydrolyzed Collagen Powder.” There were approximately 4,000 attendees. The conference provides a variety of educational opportunities which enhance the knowledge and skills of the wound specialists allowing them to bring cutting edge wound healing techniques and treatments to Boone County.
